Reliability trials are usually a fixed distance event that has to be completed within a certain time - they are not a race.
Join us for our 3rd 100km route heading inland over some of the high points in the area and dropping down to Mylor - then a loop out towards Blackwater via the Bissoe valley then back across towards Stithians Lake before heading back to West Cornwall.
And here is the gpx file
Target time will be minimum 4 hours and maximum 6 hours - there will be time to stop for a quick coffee, the route passes a few popular cafes.
Along the route there will be some checkpoints you need to tick off - checkpoint info will be given at the start of the event.
This is a fully self sufficient event, free to enter, but if you can register on Eventbrite it’ll help with working out numbers.

We will run a series of these over the Winter and early Spring months
Here are some notes on the route
In Relubbus the route turns left at the bottom of the hill (this will keep riders off Tregembo hill and away from traffic).
Through lanes then pretty straight forward to Leedstown across to Praze – then turn right onto Helston road then first left just after passing Clowance – watch the junction as you’ll be approaching at speed.
Climb up through Crowan – join the Releath road and sharp right turn just after junction for Black Rock – this lane takes you down to Coverack bridges (narrow lane so watch out for traffic)
Route joins the Helston-Redruth road then comes off at the Poldark Mines junction after the Wendron decent – watch the junction as you’ll be at speed and road can be busy.
Route then takes you over to Carnkie and Rame – and joins the Helston Falmouth road for a mile or so then right turn after Longdowns garage – down to Mabe Burnthouse and across the roundabout at Asda – again watch out this could be busy through industrial estate – route then takes you down to Penryn – then follows lanes to Mylor Bridge and down Carclew hill – this is a steep narrow decent.
Cross over the Falmouth Truro road and head out to Perranwell and across to Bissoe – up past Twelve heads, Chacewater then up to Blackwater where it does a loop across towards Redruth.
Passing over the Avers roundabout and down into through centre of Redruth – this could be busy with traffic. Turn right at the top of the hill just after the Sandy Lane roundabout then follow to route out towards Stithians lake and Carnmenellis. Then turn right (tight turn) – and route heads back towards Crowan and down from Black Rock to Praze – across to Leedstown then right at cross roads down towards Hayle turn left just after going over A30 bridge (down Water Lane) and pick up the St Erth road and follow lanes back to the start.
The route has a bit more navigation that previous routes – but key places to head for are in bold.
There are Cafes at Mylor Bridge, Bissoe, Twelve Heads & Stithians.
